My name is Melanie and I was born on December 1, 1982 in then West Germany, Europe.
I look at 2002 with a laughing and a crying eye. Laughing because E1 introduced me to the Elvis world, crying because I realized what I had been missing all the time. In 19 years I had never fallen in love with music and it
was slowly starting to frustrate me how several artists sound alike and that you can tell they don't mean the mediocre songs they are singing. Elvis
enlightened me! That did it and from that day forward I have been an Elvis only
fan. I listen to other music, but only for a while and it has to be him again. It never stops to amaze me.
And a personal reason, my late grandfather passed away in August 1996 and always listened to "Spanish Eyes" sung by Engelbert Humperdinck and "The Last Farewell" by Roger Whittaker, so these tunes by
Elvis obviously mean a lot to me. Somehow they always bring back memories I didn't even know I had.
Why I decided to join the team of ENN? I love creative writing, if I can combine it with Elvis all the better. And I'll never pass the opportunity to be an ambassador to my generation and future fans.
Auf Wiedersehen, Melanie Ley
